Take your daughter to work day was started in 1993 by the Ms. Foundation for Women (MFW). It happens every year on the forth Thursday of the month. Today is the official "Take Your Daughter to Work Day". The goal of this program was to show our daughters that women belonged in the workplace. In 2003 the program expanded to also "Take Your Son to Work Day". This program is a national event. Every year there is a theme. This years theme is "Building Partnerships To Educate And Empower."
